Patronage of White Robe Lodge stallions has paid off for Kelly Thompson and Jimmy Curran. The Invercargill co-breeders sent their mare Ima Royal (10 wins) to a White Robe stallion in six of her seven breeding seasons. Her progeny have now won 13 races with Ima Geegee (by Gallant Guru) posting her fourth win at Ascot Park on Sunday. Ima Dude, the 2006 foal by Danzighill, won six and I'm Vital(by Yamanin Vital) won three.
"I've being sending mares to White Robe Lodge for years. I would get lost if I had to go anywhere else,'' said Thompson, who has trained the winning progeny and raced them with his wife, Ilsa.
Curran has the last foal of Ima Royal, a 2yr-old by Gallant Guru, who has been placed in a trial this season.
