Pleasing trial efforts..

(Norah finishing strongly)

Trainer Brian Anderton was pleased with the White Robe contingent at the first barrier trials of the season at Wingatui today (04/08/2014).

"I was very happy with them. They were out for easy runs and did what was expected,'' he said.

Norah impressed rider Shankar Muniandy with her bold winning effort to shade Gallant Dan in the open 800m heat with Blue  N Gold third in 51.8 on  a slow inside grass.

Dean Lawrence, a part-owner of Norah (five wins) is confident she can go to another level this season.

Akal won a 1000m maiden heat in a leisurely 1.08.17 in the hands of stable track work rider, Raaz Roy.  Akal is 4yr-old by Gallant Guru- Megagem.

Valiant ran second in an 800m open heat and Lydia Go finished second in an 800m maiden heat. Valiant and Akal may race at Gore on September 18, along with Barter.
