Yogi, a 3yr-old gelding by Raise The Flag, has been sold to the clients of the Ballarat stable of Darren Weir after his  impressive maiden winner at Riccarton on Friday (19/2/2016). He missed the start over 1600m and came from last and eight lengths from the lead at the 600m in a 13-horse field to win by six lengths. The leaders ran the last 600m in 34.5. Weir is the trainer of the Raise The Flag mare Unfurl who has won over 1600m at Stawell and 2000m at Caulfield from 10 starts.  Yogi was trained at Washdyke by Mel and Warwick Coles.  Warwick bought Yogi for $1000 at the 2014 South Island yearling sale and races the gelding with Jill Dennison. Yogi was bred by D G and H A Voice, of Christchurch. He is out of Malozza, an unraced mare by Grand Lodge.  Her first foal, Justice has won in Singapore.  White Robe Lodge has nine lots by Raise The Flag entered for the South Island yearling sale on April 15.

Gallant Ruby (Gallant Guru - Ruby's Gem) had her second win in four starts this season when successful in a $22,500 race at Winton on Sunday. She is trained at White Robe and raced by Brian and Lorraine Anderton with Dave and Cecily Cochrane, of Kaka Point and Stew and Colleen Rutter, of Balclutha. The same connections have won four races with a sister to Gallant Ruby, Ruby's Rose.  Ruby's Gem (by Personal Escort) died after leaving the two foals.

Kurgan, a 5yr-old Gallant Guru - Personal Column gelding, quit maiden ranks at Yarra Glen on February 13, 2016 at his fourth start. He is trained at Flemington by Em Ewert. Kurgan was bred at White Robe Lodge, the third foal of Personal Column (by Personal Escort). Her first foal, Confused (by Bertolini) won 10 races. Personal Column won five and finished third in a White Robe Lodge Handicap when trained by Hec and Steve Anderton.
