North Taieri breeder Fred King has been a big supporter of WRL sire Raise The Flag and he was further rewarded when Prince of Brooks won a $A26,000 maiden race over 2124m at Echuca on 6/9/2018. King retained a share in Prince of Brooks when the son of Raise The Flag - Lesley Brook was leased to a syndicate of clients of the Ballarat stable of Darren Weir in February unraced. Prince Of Brooks had been broken in by Wingatui trainer Terry Kennedy. The 4yr-old Prince of Brooks was having his seventh start since joining Weir.

Prince of Brooks is a brother to Princess Brook, winner of eight races and $162,815  for King  when trained by Kennedy. Princess Brook is now seven and ready to embark on a fresh campaign after the removal of a bone chip from a front fetlock. She last raced in February when third in the group three White Robe Lodge Weight-For-Age at Wingatui. Lesley Brook, winner of the listed 2008 Welcome Stakes and other races at Trentham and Wingatui as a 2yr-old, has had her first five matings with Raise The Flag although she missed conceiving three times. She has since had surgery for a damaged birthing passage.
