Deserved Black-Type Success for Royal Flight

Royal Flight (5yo mare Danzighill - Capital Flight by Noble Bijou) scored an overdue listed race win with her victory in the CJC Great Easter Hdcp over 1400metres at Riccarton.

With Group placings prevtously in the WRC Cuddle Stakes, CJC Winter Cup,  CJC Easter Cup and ORC White Robe Lodge Handicap, a black-type victory was certainly overdue.

The talented mare is owned by White Robe Lodge studmaster Wayne Stewart and his wife Karen, and is raced by them with the Lucky 8 Syndicate. The win was her ninth career victory and followed an easy win in the Francolin Stakes at Riverton.

This was an appropriate win as she is a descendantt of Francolin, one of the gems of the NZ Stud Book..
