Filly Rated Top South Island Three Year Old

The Brian and Lorraine Anderton-owned filly, Cherry Creek has been rated the top South Island Three Year Old on the 2007/08 NZ Free Handicap, recently released by NZTR's Chief Handicapper Dean Nowell.

Allotted 53kgs on the 1200-1600 metres section of the Handicaps, it is the highest ranking of any South Island-trained three yar old.

The daughter of Monashee Mountain scored a convincing victory in the Canterbury Belle Stakes, the first race in the NZ Bloodstock Southern Filly of the Year Series.
