Gallop South Derby To Daughter Of Danzighill

Ardent Fire (Danzighill - Gem Fire) showed her staying potential when winning the Gallop South Derby (3&4YO's 2147m) at Riverton over Easter.

In just her first start over a staying distance, the daughter of Danzighill relaxed beautifully for stable apprentice jay Misbah, before showing a clean pair of heels to he rivals in the straight.

The mare has always been held in high regard by co-trainer Brian Anderton and she looks to have a very bright future as a stayer.

She is a grand-daughter of Dunedin Gold Cup winner Firefly, from a family that has produced numerous winners in recent seasons such as Inferno, Ronnie, Dicktator and Upclosenpersonal.
