Group-One Producing Mares In Foal To Gallant Guru
The dams of the two most impressive Group One winners in Australasia last weekend in Herculian Prince and Wall Street, are both due to foal this season to Gallant Guru.
Sea Island, the dam of AJC Metropolitan Handicap winner Herculian Prince, the son of ill-fated White Robe Lodge stallion Yamanin Vital, is due to foal to the son of Montjeu. This year she will be served by the impeccably-bred Raise The Flag, who is standing his first season at stud at White Robe Lodge this year..
The dam of Wall Street, an easy winner of the Spring Classic at Hastings, is seeking a further injection of Montjeu blood in her offspring this season wih her impending foal due by Gallant Guru. Wall Street is by Montjeu, while Gallant Guru was the first son of that great sire to go to stud in Australasia. The mare concerned, Villa Wanda, goes to Zabeel this Spring.
