The results of feature jumping races in Australasia so far this winter illustrate the staying power and durability of the progeny of the son of Sir Tristram. Climbing High has won three steeplechases including an impressive last-start victory in the Hawke's Bay Steeplechase, while Counter Punch trounced his rivals in the Wellington Hurdles.
In Melbourne, one of the most promising young jumpers in commission is Yamanaura, while locally Nicholman and Mountain High have been winning steeplechases and are being aimed at the Grand National at Riccarton.
Meanwhile champion jumper Hypnotize, another son of Yamanin Vital, appears on target for a third victory in the Great Northern Steeplehase at Ellerslie.
