Raise The Flag's first winner...

Raise The Flag, the White Robe Lodge stallion, was represented by his first winner, the 3yr-old filly, Princess Brook, at the Otago Racing Club meeting at Wingatui today (23/10/2014).  Princess Brook, from the first crop of Raise The Flag, ran out the 1400m strongly.  It was an appropriate win.  She is raced by her North Taieri breeder, Fred King, who has been great supporter of Raise The Flag. He has six mares at the court of Raise The Flag this season. Princess Brook is the first foal of Lesley Brook, who won the Welcome Stakes for 2yr-olds at the 2008 NZ Cup meeting at her first start. She recently produced a colt by Raise The Flag.  Mr King, a committee member of the Otago Racing Club, has also sent Miss Millbrook (2009 Dunedin Guineas)  to Raise The Flag,  the son of Sadler's Wells and Hasili, who  have left five group one winners and  successful sires. Raise The Flag is on lease from the Juddmonte Farms, who stand three sons of  Hasili -----  Champs Elysees, Cacique  and Dansili.  Princess Brook is trained at Wingatui by Terry Kennedy.
