White Robe Lodge trifecta

White Robe Lodge provided the trifecta in race 6, a rating 65 1400m at Wingatui on Wednesday (10/12/2014) when Gallant Ruby (Courtney Barnes) led home Avow (Toni Direen) and Gallant Boy (Shankar Muniandy), the three horses being trained by Brian and Shane Anderton and ridden by stable riders. Gallant Ruby came clear in the closing stages after racing handy. The daughter of Gallant Guru - Ruby's Gem is raced by Brian and Lorraine Anderton with David and Cecily Cochrane and Stewart and Colleen Rutter, of Balclutha.  The same partnership have won three races with Ruby's Rose, a sister to Gallant Ruby.  Gallant Ruby, who had not raced since April, won first up on a heavy track at Omakau in February and finished third in the listed NZ Bloodstock Insurance Stakes at Wingatui from four starts as a 3yr-old. WR also won on Thursday with Fascinate, who led throughout a 1200m maiden and won by three and a quarter lengths. Fascinate, who had not raced since April, is a 4yr-old half-sister by Falkirk to Bourbon Goldman (by Gallant Guru), winner of four races in Singapore. Fascinate is raced by breeders Brian and Lorraine Anderton and Parr Bloodstock. She is the second foal of Zerperfluous and traces to Princess Mellay, the dual NZ Cup winner when trained by Hector Anderton senior for his wife, Alice.
