Select Sale Draft

A half brother to a group three winner in Australia and a three quarter sister to a filly who topped the sale last year are among the four lots to be offered by White Robe Lodge at the  New Zealand Bloodstock select yearling sale at Karaka on January 28, 29 and 30.

"They are good types and a good even lot,'' said Karen Stewart, wife of stud manager, Wayne.

The four lots are by WR stallion, Raise The Flag, the sire of a filly out of Emerald Fire sold for $147,500 at the select sale 12 months ago.

The filly on offer this year is the first foal of Ignite (Yamanin Vital - Emerald Fire), a sister to Inferno, twice winner of the gr 3 Canterbury Gold Cup (2000m) and half sister to  stakes winner, Ortem Fire who was also SI filly of the year 2011/2012.

A colt out of Woodini, is a half brother  to Millbank, a gr 3 winner at Moonee Valley: an Open Handicap winner in NZ and also raced in Hong Kong as Time Legend.

The two others colts in the draft are out of The Gem and Personal Column. The Gem is has left the winners, Gunsmoke, The Gallant Girl and The Barmaid from three progeny to race.

Personal Column, a group one placed mare, has left Confused, the winner of 10 races.
