White Robe Lodge firing

White Robe Lodge trainers Brian and Shane Anderton have shot to the top of the list of South Island trainers this season with a treble at Cromwell on Sunday (29/11/15). The stable won with Tommy Tucker ($25,000 open Mishas Vineyard Wanaka Cup 1400m), Gallant Boy ($18,500 rating 75 Duncan Anderson Dental 1400m) and Ultrasonic ($10,000 Speargrass Inn- Cromwell Transport 2030m maiden). Brian and Shane have won 15 races since August 1.  Ultrasonic, who had not raced for nine months, was their sixth fresh up winner for the season. Ruby's Rose, Blue 'N' Gold, Gallant Defender, Coulee and Quartet are the others among 12 individual winners. Ultrasonic had not raced for nine months. He was put aside to develop after twice finishing second in six starts as a 4yr-old last season. Gallant Boy had won at Gore 10 days earlier. Ultrasonic, Gallant Boy (also a 5yr-old) and Tommy Tucker (seven) are all by WR sire Gallant Guru. Tommy Tucker has now won nine races for owners Ian Nichol, Brian and Lorraine Anderton. Ian and Sue Nichol raced All Chance (eight wins including 1998 Timaru Cup) and One Chance (11 wins, 1999 Great Western Steeplechase and 1998 Prime Minister's Hurdles at Ellerslie) from the Anderton stable.
