Well done....

Congratulations to Wingatui trainer Paul Richards, who notched his 100th race as a trainer in New Zealand with Tudor Lily at Oamaru on Friday (23/05/2014).

Paul was stable rider for White Robe Lodge for some eight years until he retired as a jockey in 2004. Random Chance and A Gordon For Me  were among his big winners. He won a Canterbury Gold Cup, Wrightson Bloodstock Plate and Counties Cup on Random Chance whom he rates the best horse he rode. He rode A Gordon For Me in 23 of his 26 wins, including the White Robe Lodge Handicap at Wingatui in 1992 and 93, and Great Easter Handicaps and Churchill Stakes at Riccarton.

He trained a son of Random Chance, Jamie's Chance to win the 2007 Great Western Steepechase.

Paul has kept Wingatui on the map this season by winning the group three $100,000 Pink Ribbon Cup at Caulfield with Natuzzi.
